Two Scents to Wear to Work

It's hot and you're stuck in a stuffy office staring out the window at endless possibilities, that you long to be doing but can't...because it's 3pm on Monday. Sound like you?

Stuffy offices are rare in England (it always rains), but when it does reach 30 degrees we have no idea how to cope! Heat means sweat, and sweat can lead to bad smelling odours, not terrible because hopefully you've showered and are wearing deodorant! If you are worried though, I have the solution which doesn't include wasting all your expensive perfume.

Zara's in-house fragrance collection is completely under-rated. They all smell delicious, with some great designer dupes which match up to the real deal. I picked these two out from the extensive range because they both have more summery notes to them.

The Oriental scent compared to the Floral is definitely more of a grown up and sophisticated scent, with a musky feel.

The Floral scent can be characterised as more playful and 'girly,' leaving you smelling fresh all day.

These fragrances are strong when you put them on at first but don't be alarmed they do level out during the day, only needing a top up towards the end of the day. Perfect for those days when you're stuck in a stuffy office and are worried about odour. The best thing about these scents is that they cost under a tenner and come in a rollerball option if these are too heavy to carry to work, absolutely perfect.

What I Wore to my First Blogging Event...#BloggersBall

I went to my first bloggers event this weekend, organised by Scarlet London, the bloggers ball is an event open for anyone and everyone who blogs, even if it is just a hobby. It's a chance to mingle, network and have a fabulous time...and I did.

As this was my first event I was unsure on what to wear, I'd seen a few people on Twitter opting for heels and bandage dresses while others were choosing jeans. I decided to play it safe and go dressy casual. I think in a situation where you are meeting new people, you need to feel your most confident self, dressing in something you are comfortable in and love will one hundred help.

A loose fitting dress paired with a denim jacket is my 'of the moment look'-  it's comfy, it's cute and a great outfit if you don't know what the weather will do. Adding a pair of low heeled boots will complete the look, and are also great for adding definition to your legs as well!

Bags, Bags, Bags - I've become slightly obsessed recently. I've been introduced to a whole new world of colours, patterns, metals and styles. I want to be more adventurous with my accessories and what better place to start than handbags!

This outfit can be worn with a simple black shoulder bag with tassel detailing, to keep it low-key and laid back or add a pop of colour with this beautiful red bag to dress up the outfit a tad more.

The Perfect Summers Day Outfit

I'm writing this post about the perfect summer time outfit, but currently the weather resembles what only can be described as a seal, wet and grey. Is that it for our British summertime? We can only hope.

I'm trying to inject colour into my summertime wardrobe, but a darker colour palette is my default. If the thought of colour makes you want to run back to the comfort of your joni jeans and favourite five-year-old H&M jumper like it used to me, then I have the answer. This outfit. The majority is black yet the outfit looks light with the addition of a lighter coloured bag to bring out the accent of yellow in the skirt.

The denim jacket is a great way to dress an outfit down to suit a day out in the sun, and if you happen to continue into the evening take the denim jacket off and you've got an evening outfit.

This style of outfit is great for a chilled, family day out. The loose, floaty nature of the skirt is great to be able to move around freely and allows you to eat as much ice cream as you like!
